The first day of Winter Polish Open Championships had been a great experience.

Twenty two clubs and twelve countries, almost 200 athletes had competed for the champion title. Compared to the previous years when Netherlands team was a former winner, team from Uzbekistan shows a similar form.

The best result in 100m medley was scored by Nigorakhon Mirzokhidova (Uzbekistan) with the great score of 933 points. The winner of 50m butterfly event was athlete Michał Golus from MKS Wodnik Radom (Poland) who scored 931 points. The audience were eagerly waiting for the performance of Paralympians: Paulina Wozniak (Start Szczecin) and Joanna Mendak (Start Bialystok) in 50m butterfly event. Finally the gold went to Joanna Mendak, silver to Paulina Wozniak and bronze medal to representant of Denmark – Amalie Vinther.

Our young athletes: Igor Hrehorowicz (Start Wroclaw), Alan Ogorzalek (Start Wroclaw) and Zuzanna Boruszewska (UKS SP 149 Łódź), can be proud of their performances on such an important event.

The Organizers, thanks to non-profit Lungo agency assistance, have attracted great partners for the event. The Floating Arena were opened for the families, many free attractions were organized around the competition. On Friday, kids could watch a theatrical performance of Brzechwa’s fairyfales, paint theirs faces and play in the free zone. Parents could participate in yoga classes and entire families could watch the magician show.

On Saturday and Sunday organizers provide continuation of sports and attraction for the entire families.
